The Strategic Initiative for Transformation and Empowerment (SITE) is registered 501(c)(3) organization the works with the most vulnerable population and the world poorest. We reach the unreachable at all cost and provide interventions tailored to their specific needs. We are nonprofit registered in the USA, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Our staff have worked with the World Bank team on the evaluation of the Recovery for Economic Activities for Liberia Informal Sector (REALISE) project beneficiary satisfaction survey across Liberia, designing the M&E framework, designing of the quantitative survey instrument, coding of the survey into electronic data collection platform, cleaning and analyzing of the data and presentation of the results to the World Bank Task Team, REALISE Project Management Team (PMT), the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP), Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) and the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE)
Building on our team experience while working on the at-risk project with the Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) where our team members worked on a Randomized Control Trial (RCT) impact evaluation study that seeks to understand the impact of cash and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) on over 2,000 at-risk youths, we understand the impact of crime and violence on economic development.
SITE has partnered with the Population Reference Bureau (PRB) in supporting the USAID Research-to-Action plan for the implementation of Student Emotional Learning and Teacher Wellbeing to be included in the national education curriculum of Liberia. Additionally, SITE has worked with Development Pathways (DP) and UNICEF in conducting mapping and stakeholder interviews with government ministries including the Ministry of Finance, Development Planning, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youths and Sports, Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Public Works and consultations with with UNDP, Action Against Hunger, Action Aid, to support UNICEF five (5) years implementation plan under the Situational Analysis of children across Liberia.
Additionally, SITE led the assessment of the smallholder farmers project in Nimba and Bong counties in which the outcomes of the assessment were used to design program intervention strategies for farmers across 20 communities in those regions. Under the Y-Care Foundation, SITE designed the quantitative survey instruments, coded the survey, led the evaluation of a four-pillar assessment in Heath, Education, Agriculture and the Rule of Law in more than 10 rural communities in Nimba and Bong counties, analyzed the data and drafted the final report.
Furthermore, SITE partnered with maverick Research Group from Ghana where we interviewed key Internet Service Provider (ISP) to identify gaps in service provision, challenges in implementation and cost analysis to more than ten (10) ISP across Monrovia.Prior to the USAID project cuts, SITE was leading a three (3) year program in Montserrado and Margibi counties under the International Research & Exchanges Board funded by the United States Department of States where SITE was providing the technical support to other implementing partners on the She’s Great project and at the same time leading the monitoring, evaluation and analysis of the project across eight (8) public and private schools.
We believe in rigorous project implementation and quality delivery of programs. Our highly skilled team of seasoned staff with grounded knowledge in the local context has made us successful in project implementation and evaluation. SITE’s staff are highly experienced researchers with excellent delivery of programs. They have worked on multiple projects in health, education, peace and economic recovery, energy, agriculture, and social protection programs. Our staff are highly technical and possess excellent data collection, analysis and visualization using STATA, SPSS, SurveyCTO, Tangerine, SurveyToGo, Kobo Collection, ComGage, CS Pro, R, CommCare etc for more than ten (10) years.
While SITE delivers education supplies to vulnerable children, including learning aid to children with special needs, SITE operates a Research and Innovation Lab where we conduct research activities and provide consultancy to researchers and test new research learning.

As lead on providing Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS), we participated in a two-day facilitator training for the Gender and My Community (GMC) curriculum under the SHE’S GREAT 2.0 Project in Liberia.
